I was at a gathering of friends last night, and
a precious sister who "had a door closed on something really important
to me and I'm devastated" was being comforted by the group. Right
away Vicky said, "You know what a closed door is don't you? It's
God's protection for the open one!"
Her blessing was doubled because it brought
to mind the Bible's golden words of "Trust in the Lord with
all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" and
I thought of the times I had "fretted" (see Ps. 37) over situations
that truly were "Protection for an open door" and how our
Lord gently guided me to a better decision/action/day.
Dear friend, God Bless your coming
and going, and when the door you thought was open . . . closes,
may you confidently "trust in the Lord with all your heart"
and "lean" on His promises and love.
